Crispy Garlic Toasts for Appetizer Dips, Spreads, and Canapes

Makes 100-150 toasts, depending on baguette length and toast thickness

Crispy Garlic Toasts are great with most appetizer dips and spreads, and make a lovely accompaniment to a cheese tray (depending on the cheese you’re serving, you may want to leave out the garlic). They also provide a sturdy base for canapes. For example, spread a toast with Garlicky Goat Cheese, top with some Fig Tapanade, and garnish with a thin radish slice and piece of chive. Easy and delicious!

1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 tsp. salt
2 baguettes, cut into thin slices

Preheat oven to 325°F. Mix garlic, olive oil, butter, and salt together in bowl. Brush garlic butter-oil mixture onto one side of each baguette slice. Put buttered baguette slices in one layer on baking sheet and cook for 10 – 15 minutes, or until bread slices are crispy.
